Common questions.

Does Ceres modify my theme files?

No. Ceres uses Shopify Script Tags (storefront events) and Web Pixels (checkout events) — both are injected by Shopify outside your theme code.

Which GA4 events are supported?

Ceres covers all standard GA4 ecommerce events: view_item, view_item_list, select_item, add_to_cart, view_cart, remove_from_cart, begin_checkout, add_shipping_info, add_payment_info, and purchase — plus several custom behavioral events.

Do I need Google Tag Manager?

No. You can connect directly to a GA4 Measurement ID. If you use GTM, Ceres exports a ready-to-import container JSON so setup takes seconds.

Will tracking break when I update my theme?

No. Because Ceres injects scripts outside your theme, theme updates, switches, or rollbacks have no effect on your tracking.
